Cancellation Policy

At HELVETII, we carefully plan each experience and commit to accommodation, logistics, and staff well in advance. For this reason, all bookings are subject to the following cancellation policy.

Day Hikes & Single-Day Events

All day group hikes and single day events are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may:

  • Transfer your place to another person (with prior notice)

Hikeaways, Campventures and Multi-Day Events

Due to accommodation bookings and upfront costs, the following applies:

More than 28 days before the event

  • No refunds are issued
  • At the discretion of HELVETII Hikes Ltd, you may be able to transfer your booking onto another trip

Less than 28 days before the trip

  • No refunds are issued

You are unable to transfer your place to another person as we have a reserve list.

Transfers & Name Changes

You may transfer your place to another person for free, provided:

  • It is a day group hike or single-day event
  • You notify us in advance
  • The replacement meets the event requirements

Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or emergency), please contact us as soon as possible.

Any refund or credit in these cases is at the sole discretion of HELVETII Hikes Ltd. You may be asked to provide supporting evidence.

Event Cancellations by HELVETII Hikes Ltd

In the unlikely event that we cancel an event, you will be offered:

  • A full refund, or
  • The option to transfer your booking to another trip

Weather Conditions

Our events run in a variety of conditions and are not cancelled due to normal or expected weather.

Only severe or unsafe conditions, as determined by HELVETII Hikes Ltd, will result in cancellation.

By booking a HELVETII Hikes Ltd event, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this cancellation policy.
